CANAL DEL BEAGLE
Ushuaia lies upon the glittering waters of Beagle Channel, a strait crossing through the Tierra del Fuego Archipelago at the tip of South America. Named after HMS Beagle, the ship famous for carrying Charles Darwin to the Galapagos Islands, the Beagle Channel is a popular waterway for many Antarctic and South American cruises.

ISLA MARTILLO
Head to Isla Martillo, located east of Ushuaia in the Beagle Channel, to walk amongst the penguins. Large colonies of Magellanic and Gentoo penguins traipse along the rocky shores of this remote, windswept island they call home.
